While Edinburgh may get all the credit and be the first city people think of when having a stag weekend in Scotland. Glasgow for me offers just as much (if not a wee bit more) mayhem when it comes to a wild stag night. You guys are in for one hell of a time and no matter what sort of things you blokes are into, Glasgow will have you covered for both the day and night during your stag do.

If you have a few nerds who want to do the whole sightseeing/tourist type thing then Glasgow does have more than a few spots of “cultural significance” places like The Glenlee which is an awesome huge ass boat you can check out. If you want to go somewhere a little bit weird then Sharmanka Kinetic Theatre which looks like something out of a Tim Burton movie.

Places To Get Some Great Food In Glasgow

La Tasca Spanish Restaurant

This is located pretty much right in the heart of Glasgow and it’s a great place for a superb meal during your stag weekend. La Tasca offers a great tapas style dining experience and they offer food from many different exotic regions. But you fussy eaters will not be left eating just bread as they do have some more “normal” things like a Spanish take on eggs and chips for example.

Hard Rock Café

Home of the legendary burger, The Hard Rock Cafe is just as much of an attraction as it is a place to eat. They have a great menu, well stocked bar and best of all for you music lovers they have a ton of cool music memorabilia all over the place!

How To Have A Great Stag Night In Glasgow

You could write a whole freaking book on all the cool nightspots that Glasgow has to offer you guys, but I am far too busy……. And lazy to do that. Instead I have for you four places that are perfect for some night time fun here in Glasgow.

King Tuts Wah Wah Hut

If you guys want to take in a live gig then look no further than King Tuts Wah Wah Hut. This is not the kind of place where you are going to find huge bands like, The Foo Fighters playing. It’s more of an underground, grassroots type of music venue that is just flat out cool. If you love live music then you will have an awesome time here. As well as live gigs they also serve some nice food and of course plenty of booze. A rock show followed by a Glasgow pub crawl sounds like a great stag night to me!

Diamond Dolls Lap Dancing Club

When you guys organise a stag night, you owe it up to the groom to hit up a top lap dancing club. Diamond Dolls is regarded by many as having the sexiest ladies in Glasgow. Here you can sit back with a nice cold beer and take in one hell of a sexy show! If you guys really want to hook your mate up then chip in and get him a private dance. The guy is getting married so let him have a different pair of boobs in his face one last time!

Genting Casino

Roll the dice, spin the wheel……. And that is all the gambling lingo I know, but I do know that a few hours here at Genting Casino is going to be fun for your whole stag group. They offer a great range of games here such as roulette, poker, baccarat and many more. They also serve food and drinks here so you can gamble a wee bit and then get a bite to eat. Just make sure that if one of your mates wins big that they buy everyone a drink.

SUBCLUB

This is not a club for you guys who do not like to party hard. SubClub actually has a huge reputation all over Europe for having a wild club night. You guys will be able to have a few drinks, listen to some amazing tunes and have one hell of a stag night. A stag night in Glasgow should see you come to one of its really special clubs and that is what this place is. Also the chicks here are just crazy and you will see then shaking their stuff all over the dancefloor.

Bedlam Paintball

If you guys want to go to war with each other then a few hours at Bedlam Paintball is how you can make that happen. This is a great place for a game of paintball, speaking of games they have many different game scenarios here that will make you feel like you are in an action movie or a video game. So dig deep, keep your nerve and shoot your mates in the back to lead your team to victory!

Football Stadium Tour

Glasgow is the home of football in Scotland and it is actually home to three of the best football stadiums not just in Scotland, but the whole of the UK. You can tour the home ground of the Scottish Football Team, Hampden where as well as football, you can see what other events have been at this amazing stadium. And then there is the old firm with the current Scottish champions, Celtic who have one of the largest stadiums in the UK. And there is also Ibrox Stadium home to Rangers who have won the league more times than anyone else.

Titan Crane Bungee Jumping

It is impossible to be in or around Glasgow and not notice that huge ass crane. This is called the Titan Crane and you guys are going to be jumping head first off it! This sounds nuts….. because it is, but it’s also a great stag do event and a ton of fun. This is one of those things that is really hard to build up the nerve to do, but once you do, you will get a rush like you have never had before.

Clay Pigeon Shooting

Cock your gun, aim and fire in a great few hours of clay pigeon shooting! This is a stag do activity that will certainly make you feel like a big man. Here you guys will be taught by a proper instructor how to handle and fire a shotgun the right way. You will be able to put your skills to the test as you try to shoot more clays than your mates. Make sure that the loser has to get a round in later in the day!

Getting To Glasgow

If you are part of a stag group that is going to be pounding down beers like it’s an Olympic sport then I have to say, train is the best way to get here. Thanks to rail links to pretty much the whole of the UK. You can get here on the train without any hassle at all. At worst you are looking at maybe one change. As the largest city in Scotland you can get here via car very easily as its connected to the whole of Scotland via various motorways (most notably the M74, M8 and M9)
