Shopping in Aviemore is clearly not as huge as say Edinburgh, but there is a high street where you can do a wee bit of shopping. There are also many different outdoors type shops where if you want you can but some more suitable clothes for your Aviemore outdoors adventure!

Set on the main strip of bars in Aviemore this location is one of our favourites at GoBananas. The team will look after you and make you feel like you have always known them, trying out and making girls favourite cocktails.

Charming little Italian venue with buffet meal at a great price for the perfect way to start your evening. Don't know about you girls but a buffet is music to my ears. All your italian favourites and a nice atmosphere, just perfect.

When in the highlands why not try the highland games, i am sure most of the locals run aorund in kilts throwing cabers etc around daily but crazy scottish dress wear is not essential to enjoy this event. Split in to two teams you wil try fun scottish games like the shot putt and welly throwing before finishing with a tug o war.

The Best Way To Get To Aviemore

When you tell someone that you are going on a hen weekend in the highlands, “how the hell are you going to get there?” is what you will more often than not be asked. Well Aviemore is not going to require you to get there by dog and sled. You can get here on the train really easily and directly from both Edinburgh and Glasgow. And even if you wanted to drive, Aviemore is actually really well connected to the rest of Scotland.
